This policy explains what information Mahad Resume, operated by Mahad Information Technology Private Limited (“we”, “us”), collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We designed Mahad Resume to need only the information required to build and improve your resume.

1. Information we collect

Account information you provide, such as your name, email address and phone number when you sign up.

Resume content you enter or upload — your experience, education, skills, and any documents (CVs, certificates, passports) you choose to upload so we can build your resume.

Usage information such as the pages you visit and actions you take, which helps us keep the service reliable and improve it.

2. How we use your information

To build, improve, score and format your resume, and to provide the features you request.

To operate your account, process payments, and provide support.

To maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your resume content to make it public without your action.

3. Document processing (OCR & AI)

When you upload a document, we process it to extract the information needed to build your resume. When you use AI features, your content is processed to improve wording and structure only.

Our AI follows a strict anti-fabrication rule: it improves how your real information is presented and never invents jobs, dates, degrees or skills.

The underlying AI/OCR technology providers are used as processors on our behalf; we do not expose their identity as part of the product.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run Mahad Resume (for example, hosting, payments and document processing), under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.

If you use an agency, company or typing-center account, resumes you create within that account may be visible to the authorised users of that account.

We may disclose information where required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and resume data while your account is active so you can return to your resumes. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights & choices

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us and we will action it in line with applicable law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. We will update the date above when we do.
